Pricing Analist Export Air & Sea M/V

For one of our customers we are currently looking for potential candidates for the position of Pricing Analist Export M/V.

Tasks:

RFQ's:

• Manage the air and ocean pricing for RFQ's from within the Europe/Africa;
• Manage the Europe/Africa air and ocean pricing for RFQ's generated in other regions;
• Meet deadlines set by customers and sales/geo on responding to pricing requests;
• Work with and coach sales/geo staff to properly qualify bids;
• Track and report the result of RFQ;s.

Analysis of rates:

• Review and analyze carrier rates;
• Review feedback from sales/geo on rate competitiveness;
• Report results of analyzes to Directors;
• In conjunction with Directors, work with carriers to keep rates fresh and competitive.

Rate & Surcharge Maintenance:

• Maintain rate database;
• Maintain and distribute GRI and surcharge information;
• Maintain diary system to flag expiring rate agreements and contracts.

General Support:

• Provide general support for sales/geo on air and ocean pricing;
• Provide other general pricing support as specified by the Air and Ocean Directors. 

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills;
• Very detail oriented;
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects;
• Competency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
• Understanding air and ocean operations;
• Thorough understanding of air- and oceanfreight pricing.
